DomiRacer Customer Numbers We assign a six digit customer number to every name in our customer files. You will notice this number above your name on mailing labels and other materials. Frequently, customers use different name formats (initials, initials and names, names alone, etc.) and change addresses. Also frequently customers in the same city or postal zone have the same name. If you quote this number in all orders and correspondences, it will greatly assist us in serving you quickly and accurately. Part Numbers Our inventory is completely controlled by an IBM computer. Every part has a 2 digit code which identifies the category, followed by a 5 or more digit part number. Please use our numbers when ordering. Orders Our order payment terms are always payment with order. You may use credit cards, (Mastercard, Visa or Discover Card), send a check or use a money order. We never ship C.O.D. If we are out of something you order, we send a refund in your order. We never hold your money. Every order is completely settled every day. If your remittance is slightly short we still ship immediately and ask you to make up the balance to us. Privacy Policy It is a DomiRacer Distributors, Inc. and DomiRacer Retails' policy not to sell any information regarding our customers. Overseas Customer Refunds The refund check sent with your invoice may be cashed or used again with us during a future order. When you have the check, you have that option and we don't have to keep books on a lot of little credits. This helps us keep customers current without that bookkeeping cost. Minimum Order DomiRacer has a minimum order amount of $10.00 exclusive of any applicable taxes or shipping charges. A service charge of $3.00 will be added to any order under $10.00, in addition to standard shipping charges. Automated processing costs dictate this policy. Prices All prices in our price list and also on our web site are subject to change without notice. Prices can go up or down based on several factors, such as availability, transportation costs, currency exchange rates, and manufacturing costs. Please note that none of these prices are binding, the price in effect at the time of shipment will prevail, and to check your packing slip for the current cost. Packaged Items Where the unit of sale is more than one, such as pairs, package of 10, etc., it is noted in the description in the price list. Please note this and when you are ordering a pair of something so indicated, order 1 not 2; A pack of 10, order 1 (pack), not 10. The invoicing is in the units described. Shipping and Handling Charges, Domestic Orders For simplification, our shipping and handling charges based on the amount of the order, are averages. These are printed on our order blanks. Possession of a five year old order blank quoting lower rates will not get us a discount from U.P.S. or the Post Office. Current shipping rates will prevail. See shipping methods. Shipping Methods, Domestic Orders Most items will be shipped daily by U.P.S. or Parcel Post as you indicate on your order. Most orders go U.P.S. and are delivered faster than the mail. But U.P.S. requires a street address. U.P.S. cannot deliver to Post Office boxes and frequently has difficulty with rural routes and other less specific addresses. So if you want U.P.S., tell us precisely where. We want you to have fast, accurate and safe delivery. Items that are too large or too heavy for U.P.S. or Parcel Post such as frames, engines, etc. will be shipped by motor freight (Truck) and will always be charged collect as these rates exceed those quoted on our order blank. Free Freight, Domestic Orders Only Orders totaling $300.00 SHIPPED will be sent free in the U.S. by the cheapest method unless they exceed the size and/or weight limits of U.P.S. or Parcel Post. If bulky or heavy items comprise part of a $300.00 order, the free freight offer will not apply. The weight limit for a U.P.S. package is 150 pounds and the package dimensions (length plus girth) is limited to 130 inches. Engines, gearboxes, frames, fork assemblies and some other large and/or very heavy items are never included in free freight shipments. Shipping will be charged at current rates on these and similar items. Air Mail or U.P.S. Air Service in the US If you can't wait for our usual quick service and you want air mail delivery or U.P.S. equivalent, the following average costs have been calculated and will apply: U.P.S. NEXT DAY AIR assures you delivery within the United States within 24 hours of dispatch. For this service multiply the standard shipping rates on our order blank by 5 or use the following table:
U.P.S. SECOND DAY AIR assures you of delivery within the United States within 48 hours of our dispatch. For this service multiply the standard rates on our order blank by 3 or use the following table:
U.P.S. GROUND SHIPPING assures you of delivery within the United States. For this service use the following table:
Backorders Items not in stock when your order is received are not backordered. They are canceled and you must reorder later. We try to give some indication on your invoice when (and if) new stock is coming. Insurance - Domestic Orders Guaranteed safe delivery. If you want your order insured by us, you must so indicate on the order form, and include the cost with your remittance. The cost for this insurance is 2% of the invoiced amount with a $1.00 minimum. For this we guarantee you will receive your order in undamaged condition. In the case of high value (over $300.00) orders that are so insured, we, the shipper, will determine the carrier. The reason for this is the poor record of the U.S. Postal Service in prompt and safe deliveries. In the case of a lost package in a domestic shipment by U.S. Mail or U.P.S., you must allow 30 days from dispatch to claim and a further 30 days for settlement. All claims must be made by 60 days from dispatch. In the case of shipping damage in a domestic shipment we will replace the broken item or refund your cost (our option) immediately upon proof of damage. Insurance - Foreign Orders Guaranteed safe delivery. Orders sent by Surface Post to foreign addresses must allow 120 days from dispatch to claim and all claims must be made by 150 days from dispatch. For orders sent by Air Post, U.P.S., or Air Freight, claims may be made no sooner than 30 days from dispatch and must be made by 60 days from dispatch. From a strictly practical point of view, we recommend using U.P.S. or other commercial delivery services. Such services are accountable and cooperative in solving missing or damaged freight claims. The U.S. Post Office makes frequent errors, (sending Air Mail packages by slow surface mail to the far ends of the earth, etc.) and their customer service record is notoriously poor. A Note On Declared Value In 1984, we acquired an AJS 7R without fuel and oil tanks. The owner had sent both tanks to the UK for refinishing, insuring them for $1000 but stating 0 value on the customs declaration. UK customs seized them and probably sold them at a customs auction. They were never seen again, so the owner lost interest and sold the motorcycle at a loss. This is why it is inadvisable to undervalue goods shipped if they have real value and we will not participate in this practice. Returns Inspect your order immediately upon receipt. If a problem exists, report it immediately for prompt action. You will need a written explanation as to why the item/s are being returned, and the item/s being returned clearly marked on your original sales invoice (No returns will be exchanged, credited, refunded or adjusted in any way unless this is returned with the goods). Goods invoiced over 30 days will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Shipping charges on returned items are never refunded. Warranty DomiRacer will consider warranty claims for any merchandise purchased from us, up to 90 days from date of purchase. All such merchandise must be returned to us for inspection. A return authorization must be requested and included with all warranty claims. Original manufacturers policy will prevail where applicable. Bad Check Fee Customer checks that are returned to our bank for insufficient funds, or any other reason, will be charged a $30.00 bank handling fee. |
